Economic and Environmental Geology covers a wide range of topics in both the fields of economic geology and environmental geology. In terms of economic geology, it involves the exploration, development, mineralization theory and mechanism of various mineral resources, such as the geological characteristics, deposit genesis, and resource evaluation of metallic minerals (such as gold, silver, copper, iron, etc.) and non-metallic minerals (such as coal, oil, natural gas, limestone, etc.), providing theoretical support for the rational development and utilization of mineral resources. In terms of environmental geology, it includes the interrelationship between geological environment and ecological environment, the formation mechanism and prevention of geological disasters, soil pollution and remediation, water resource protection and utilization, and the impact of geological environment on human health, aiming to promote environmental protection and sustainable development.
